The Tomich vineyard sits in the Onkaparinga (how cool is that word? It’s indigenous Kaurna for women’s river place) Valley in the Adelaide Hills. The climate is cool (five degrees cooler than Adelaide) with an easterly aspect. It sits 365m-400m above sea level with an annual rainfall of approximately 800mm. The super soil is ancient podzolic over quartz and schist laterite. This translates to more minerality in the wines produced. The manager of this vineyard proactively monitors and implements the latest in sustainable farming practices.
