2016 Sticky End Viognier
True to his winemaking philosophy, the 2013 Sticky End Riesling, a supremely delicate ‘sticky’ with finesse and elegance, is definitely a wine Ben loves to drink. And he’d like others to come to the same sticky ending. All the fruit is sourced from the Ben’s dear friends, the Tomich family, Woodside Vineyard. This vineyard is one of the largest cool-climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills.
The ripest fruit was handpicked, deep frozen for two weeks then broken down to press. As the fruit thawed, the most intense flavours were released while the water remained frozen. Matured in old French oak for 12 months. Fragrant Turkish Delight, warm honey and candied citrus flavours abound, layers of sweet pleasure. A perfect sticky ending!
