Deep, rich ruby colour with faint tints of brick and purple. The bouquet is layered and rich, ripe and quite complex with raspberry, cassis and earthy-chocolaty development. A hint of Ribena cordial. It's full-bodied and rich, again very chocolaty and showing some developed flavours. It's full-bodied, thickly-textured, not the most elegant wine but certainly generously flavoured and proportioned.
