In Mr. Riggs' world, the three-corner jack represents a blend of our region's three finest grapes: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Grapes for the "Three Corner Jack" have been sourced from vineyards from a variety of McLaren Vale's best sites. McLaren Vale has almost the perfect climate for grape growing: warm summers, low humidity, good winter rain and long autumns to ensure that grapes achieve ripeness, flavour, acid and balance. Taken from three of Mr. Riggs' prominent vineyards just like the three-corner jack, it's very hard to ignore once it latches on.
